Merge Subfolder With Main Inbox
Months ago I created a subfolder to handle my business e-mails. My business e-mails and personal e-mails come from the same place but the address of my business e-mails is different. It seemed like a good idea at the time but I find it's cumbersome now and I would like to put things back the way they were: all e-mails go to the main inbox. How can I accomplish this? It is a POP3 account and I am using the latest version of Thunderbird 38.1.0 Thanks.

I'm never comfortable with moving folders. We have heard of cases where a folder is moved and yet remains attached to its original account.
Safer to create whatever new folders you need, and to move the contents, one folder-full at a time. Use ctrl+a to select all the items in a folder.
I repeat: right-click then "Move to" works better than drag and drop. If you hesitate or hiccup whilst dragging you can drop the messages accidentally into whatever folder you happen to be passing over at the time.

Have you tried Unified Folders or a Saved Search?
You should be able to just select then drag-and-drop from one folder to another (though I'd recommend right-click and "Move to"; it's more reliable than drag-and-drop.)
You'll also need to adjust any settings you changed to make this happen, or disable/delete any relevant Message Filters. Perhaps this bit is the real crux of your question? ;-)
I have not tried Unified Folders or a Saved Search. Thanks for the names of what to look for, that is usually half to 3/4 of the battle. I will look for them and try drag and drop. I think I made up the subfolder by right clicking the upper folder and choosing "New Folder" and filling in the information it needed, I just wish there was a way to undo that.

Yes, my motto is: If anything can go wrong it will go wrong. Thanks!
