I have recently signed up to Thunderbird and have taken out three subscriptions for three computers. I made a donation each time but I still get donation requests blocking my reading pane when using the service. Is there any way to stop these requests as I feel I have already shown my support?

There are two possibilities I see.

1. You have not closed the welcome to Thunderbird please give at the door tab that new installs invariably have. This is just a matter of closing the tab.

2. You are seeing the standard welcome page that includes support links and donation requests in the reading pane (the part of the window that displayed the body of emails). Clicking on an email in the list will replace that with the content of the selected email.
