I can no longer export or back-up my email addresses. I have two Macs, one using Yosemite and one using El Capitan. Neither will allow me to back up or export an .ldif file of my email address book. I know that I have to select a specific address book...but still get a blank file. Help.

Also tried to upload a screen shot, but that failed. Why not give us a phone number to call?

Free software does not have a staffed help desk. Try actually selecting an address book instead of All Address books.

Good to hear from someone, anyway.

I do select a specific address book. Still get empty file. Used to be so easy. I'd back up every couple of months, and export from my iMac to a usb drive, then import to my laptop. Easy peezy. Now no good.

Seems to work for everyone else.

Well, that makes me feel a whole lot better. And I'm sure that "everyone else" is using a MAC with either Yosemite or El Capitan.

No one to call, no one to help. Called Apple...they said to call Thunderbird. I guess I'm just out of luck.

Know any good email clients? Of course, that won't help, because I'll have no way to get 6 or 700 mail addresses moved over to it.

Thanks anyway.
