Fennec not opening at all in my HTC Legend (Android 2.1)
Installation of Fennec Alpha was smooth; after downloading the apk file from this site. My HTC Legend has 2.1 version of Android which reported the installation to be successful. I could see an icon also in the program list. However, on click of the icon, a blank black screen opens with a title bar named Fennec, but closes just after two seconds. No error is being reported by the application or by the OS. I even uninstalled and re-installed the browser to check again, but am seeing the same result. Has this browser been tested on a Legend smartphone by anyone? How to make it run on my phone?

Sorry, Fennec Alpha does not run on phones with ARMv6 processors, like the HTC Legend.
We have experimental nightly builds that you can try on the Legend, but please note they are not yet optimized for the Legend's processor or screen size:

Hurray!! I was successful in running fennec on my Legend!! However, as you have already mentioned, Fennec doesnt seem to be optimized for screen & font sizes of Legend. With Fennec open, these were the memory usage as seen through the "Manage Application" module: Total: 50.07MB Application: 35.45MB Data: 14.62MB I have to sadly admit that it is eating up tooooo much of internal memory and am running out of space for other apps! And am already seeing "Low on memory" indication in the mobile taskbar :( Looks like Fennec can be installed only on Android 2.2 (Froyo) version as it allows applications to get installed in SD card!
