I know after Firefox is running hitting F11 will toggle the kiosk mode.

What I am looking for is a command line parameter (or some other mechanism) that would allow me to run Firefox, point it to a particular page, and automatically go into kiosk mode.

Firefox is going to be run on the PCs in other modes where I want it not to be in Kiosk mode and with a different home page. So I can not do anything that would force Firefox to always go into Kiosk mode when starting up or to make setting a specific homepage part of the solution.

I think your confused, pressing f11 puts firefox into fullscreen mode. It will open in fullscreen if you dont take it out of fullscreen before you close. To have it go to a certain page see How to set the home page . You can also run different profiles which might be useful to you Profiles - Where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data .
