This is some standard guidance that addresses the most common issues with Flash in Firefox. I'm not sure whether any of it helps in IE. (1) If you have any add-ons that record/download Flash media in Firefox, make sure they are as up-to-date as possible, or disable them temporarily. To disable extensions, you can use this screen: orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
