Your FireFox ver. 15 & below was used to provide 'time remaining' and 'downloading speed' while a movie or clip was downloaded using a add-on. But your newer/upgraded versions of FF provides only 'time remaining' and nothing else. Why? My question is if less info is provided in upgraded version, then is there any need to upgrade an existing version?

While downloading a file, click on the Arrow which indicates the download started, the click on the Show all downloads.

A library window will appear , here you can get all the details of you files being downloaded like (speed, time remaining etc)

You can also go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for Download Status. The one I use tells me everything; File name, size, speed, percent. I can even have the option to color each download showing how fast the file is going.

You can also open the about:downloads page in a tab or separate window.
