Eliminate entries from top of Bookmark pulldown
I click on the bookmark pulldown. [ fortunately, I have a mac, so I still have pulldowns ]. I never use the items listed below. I would like to get rid of them. I'm not interested in hearing how wonderful they are.
I would like to get rid of:
-- view pocket list -- subscribe to this page -- bookmark all tabs -- bookmark toolbar
I did look at this page, but could not get what was suggest to work nor did I understand what I was doing. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1081653
mac 10.10.4 firefox 41.0.2

Do you still see the Pocket button on the Navigation Toolbar?
If you move the Pocket toolbar button to the Customize palette then that should remove the menu entry. You shouldn't set browser.pocket.enabled to false, but leave the pref to true and move the Pocket toolbar button to the Customize palette to disable Pocket. The Pocket initialization code is designed to work that way.
Not certain which is the navigation bar [ i think it's called location bar]. Not listed in view > tool bars. In the bar with the url, I moved the pocket out to the customize panel.
Did I get the right place to drag the pocket icon? See the first image.
I get the pocket in the bookmarks pulldown. see second image.

You need to drag the Pocket button to the Customize palette in the left pane (Additional Tools and Features). The button is currently in the "3-bar" menu button drop-down list. As long as this button is on a toolbar or in the "3-bar" menu button drop-down list and not in the Customize palette you will see the Pocket entries in the Bookmarks Menu.
Thanks. That got rid of the pocket. Progress.
Any chance of getting rid of more stuff?
Robert
What other items do you want to remove?
You can hide menu items with code in userChrome.css or with some extensions.
