I have a remnant of spyware. The home page for Firefox is permanently set a www.safesear.ch.com with a couple random characters after that. I have uninstalled Firefox and installed a newer version, scanned for and removed all spyware with Superantispyware, Malwarebytes, Glary Utilities, and Avast (free) anti-virus. I have searched the registry for any instance of safesearch or safesear.ch and found nothing. I have reset Firefox to defaults. I checked the properties of the program to make sure that wasn't tied on to the end. Gone through "Programs and Features" and found nothing that shouldn't be there. No Safesearch, Conduit, Optimzer, etc. So far I have not been able to get rid of it or change the home page. It is Windows 7 Pro. Anything you can suggest to do/try? Thank you.

Let's start with this,

Note: Some software, like Advanced SystemCare with Surfing Protection, can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.
