What kind of reset was it? Did Windows create this folder:

C:\Windows.old

To explore that, turn on viewing of hidden files and folders: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files

Then look for

C:\Windows.old\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Assuming you find one or more folders there, one of them most likely will have your earlier Firefox data. If you check the file modification dates, do any of them look recent enough to be the right files?

We can describe how best to rescue data from that temporary location (Windows will delete it after 30 days so don't put it off).

If you do not have a Windows.old folder, then it sounds as though you have looked the other logical places, but just in case, do you have multiple profile folders at the usual location? You can use this shortcut in the system search box or Run dialog to zip there:

%APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles

Thanks Guys. It took a little jury rigging on my part but through your pretty clear instructions I was able to track down that file with the bookmarks.

Nice job and a tip o the hat!
