Why does yahoo mail loose its security when accessing my email from Firefox?
I access my yahoo email by navigating to yahoo.com from Firefox. All logon's are successful and the address bar displays green colored "https". When the emails display, in the upper right corner the green closed lock icon, depicting a secure environment, changes to gray or a gray lock icon with red slash through the gray lock icon with a gray "https". I reload the page and the lock icon turns green for three seconds and then reverts to the gray lock icon, while displaying a gray "https". I do not understand why. In previous sessions with yahoo email I had not noticed this conduct during my email session.

Different icons have different meanings. The following article describes these three:
Secure connection | |
Secure connection to the main page, insecure connection to some display content used in the page (not unusual on sites that display user-generated content like email messages) -- or possibly weak encryption | |
Secure connection to the main page, insecure connection to some active content in the page which poses a security risk to data you enter or view in the site -- or the connection is not secure at all (HTTP address) |
For the second and third icons, click to drop a panel with more information. Source: How do I tell if my connection to a website is secure?

jscher2000, Thank You for your input. It makes sense. What does not make sense is: the security icon always stayed green with the associated "https:" illuminated green, also. The condition I made input to this forum only started in the last few days. Either way, my attention to detail is turned on "full magnify". Again, Thanks
