Firefox 59 will not show up in Windows 10?
Well I had this all written out and then click on 'Automatically add' below which brought me to a 'sorry window' and then going back all my comments are gone. Just like FF. I was spent time explaining that it will not work and right now I don't care if it ever does. Why, why do you put buttons in that erase all that you type in, what a waste of time. I did a reload but no FF will start up in my GUI, shows in Task Manger as started but nothing on screen. I was running 59.0.2 until the next day I got nothing. Some help would be nice, but like most problems there won't be any answers but in a few months it will work again.

Thanks again, the 32 bit version loaded and ran. I'm not a busy web user so it is fine with me just to have FF running again and doubt I will see a difference. My experience with Edge was not good and I felt like the sw was controlling everything, as oppose to FF which gives clear controls and settings.

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.
If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected by a team of people who read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Sometimes, if you press the Back arrow, you can get the data back.

I don't know what button you are referring to.

Sometimes the Firefox window opens out of the viewing window.

That is why we are here. It's possible there is corruption in the program files.
Let’s do a full clean re-install;
Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
Save the file. Then Close Firefox.
Using your file browser, open the Programs Folder on your computer.
Windows: C:\Program Files C:\Program Files (x86)
Mac: Open the "Applications" folder. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-download-and-install-firefox-mac
Linux: Check your user manual. If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it. See Install Firefox on Linux; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/install-firefox-linux
If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder Firefox in your home directory. http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Look for, and remove any Mozilla or Firefox program folders. Do not remove the Mozilla Thunderbird folder if there is one.
Do Not remove any profile folders.
After rebooting the computer, run a registry scanner if you have one. Then run the installer. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++ If there is a problem, start your Computer in safe mode and try again.

After the reinstall, if you still have this problem,
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved You may have corrupt xulstore.json or Localstore.rdf file.
Close Firefox. Open your file browser to this hidden location:
- Mac: *~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles
- Linux: *~/.mozilla/firefox/Profiles
- Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- *C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data
\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\
Search for the above files. Then rename or delete them. Restart Firefox.
Thank you for your response and time. My original question was written out kindly and clearly but you will never see it, as I never will either. We are both aware of the importance of getting correct info when troubleshooting and not wasting time.
I don't know what button you are referring to... After you type out the question in this support area there is a selection below it to 'Automaticly add' details about your setup of FF on your system (at least that's what I'm guessing it does). So in an attempt to provide you kind volunteers with as much helpful information as possible I foolishly hit it (in order to see what I am talking about you must go thru the complete multi steps of asking a question). And yes, once it fails, and then you hit the back arrow, back you go and all your original typed out question is now nothing but an empty box sitting waiting for you to re-type the whole question over.
After the reinstall (Now for the 4th time), if you still have this problem, https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/changes-toolbars-and-window-sizes-are-not-saved You may have corrupt xulstore.json or Localstore.rdf file. Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles
I did not find any such files in the path provided - could this be my startup problem. There were two odd named profile files, whose extension I changed but then FF errored on startup with a profile not found msg.
I have Edge just about all setup to be barely useful but will still like FF better. I am a very long time FF user.
The 'path' instruction takes you to the profiles folder. From there you need to remove those files from the profile you are using.
A better way is to use the search bar in the file browser and remove all of the found files.
Thanks, I found one, xulstore.json, and changed it's extension and moved it. Still no change in FF. Did another, 5th, delete and reload on FF59 but again no change. Anything else I can do to get it running? I wish I at least could see an error to give us someplace to start to work with. I don't use this computer for much, other than email and browser so it is not loaded with a bunch of strange Apps or anything unusual.
I think I will go back up to the link you provided and try FF developer support, which, I'm sorry, I thought that's were I was but evidently not.
Still no FF59. I did a full scan with Norton, ran their power erase tool, and ran a SFC in cmd mode - all came back empty with nothing broken. FF59 will not run any longer on my W10, any help would be welcome at this point. I just can't understand why a sw I have been using for years, no longer runs and nobody in the world is having this problem??
Did you have any problem with v57 or v58?
Many have reported issues using the 64bit Firefox. Install the 32bit version from; Download Firefox For All languages And Systems {web link}
No problems with v57 or v58. And v59 worked since it came out but then just stopped and will not reload. Thanks, I will try the 32bit but I have been using the 64bit for years.
