I'm using Firefox 61 on Debian Testing and every word is appearing to be misspelled. It was previously working fine, and I can't be sure how it broke. I tried installing a dictionary and language pack but that didn't make any difference. Any suggestions about what to try from there?

Only en-US and maybe a couple other locales comes with a dictionary due to licensee reasons.

You need to make sure a Dictionary language is selected.

The Language Pack from the same page is for to change the user interface language as you can see on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/use-firefox-interface-other-languages-language-pack. It is a option for those who want one Firefox install but toggle between two or more different languages. If you only want one language then get it from www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

So it was a problem with the third-party build of 61.0

Note the current Release from Mozilla as of July 5 is 61.0.1
