how do i ask firefox to rember all the various passwords and usernames on different websites.

You probably do not want your bank, paypal or other financial passwords stored on you computer. In any case you might want a hard copy, and one that you can write in the passwords that you were not able to get Firefox to store.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

- To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
- Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"
