Hello, I got a new pc and now run W7x64; before that I used W7x32 and everything described below worked perfectly. I got the newest flash plugin (11.3.300.262) and Aurora15 (does also not work with FF release).

So I want to run FF with another windows7 useraccount (called ff) within my admin account via runas.exe. This worked without problems under x32 but not anymore with x64. Firefox loads and renders websites until there is some flash in it. In the taskmanager you can see plugin-container.exe loading with like 3MB but the new flash-plugin.exe stuff does not load and so FF freezes. Now the interesting part is, when I log in to this ff useraccount (it does not matter if it is admin/normal user) everything runs fine. Also tested this with another W7x64 machine and it shows the same behavior.

Any ideas? Can anyone experience the same, or does runas work fine for you? Thank you

Flash 11.3 includes a new protected mode for Windows Vista and Windows 7. You could temporarily disable this new feature to see whether it is creating the problem. In the following article, scroll down to the "Last Resort" section.

Disabled the protected mode; works fine now. Thanks.

Will contact adobe about this bug.

Thanks. I had the same problem, and fixed it by disabling protected mode.

I edited

C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg

and added the line:

ProtectedMode=0

It fixed the problem for me.
