How to clear some cookies in Firefox?

more options

It is possible to clear all the cookies from a website in Firefox: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/clear-cookies-and-site-data-firefox In my case, I would like to clear only authentication cookies (to be automatically disconnected when I close Firefox) but I want to keep the other cookies about my preferences. However, I can select on which websites I want to clear my cookies but I can't select which ones.

Is there a way to select the list of cookies I want to keep/clear for each websites?

Thanks.

Over the years, there have been some add-on to preserve certain important cookies and restore them after they are deleted. I don't know whether something like that might help:

Your ‘logged-in’ status is stored in special cookies. If the cookie is removed, you are logged out.

Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar. The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.

Turn off Always Use Private Browsing Mode Turn on Remember My Browsing And Download History At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on Cache and Form And Search History and whatever else you want.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I'm not disconnected to the websites I visited when I close Firefox. I tried to turn on Active logins but it doesn't work.

I don't understand what you want.

There is a panel where you can see each individual website cookie for a site. It is available while you are viewing the site in a tab. See: https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Tools/Storage_Inspector

I would like to close all my open connections to any websites but keep all the other preferences stored in the cookies when I quit Firefox.

Thanks. I know about the Storage Inspector but how can I select which cookies I want to keep or discard when I quit Firefox?

There is no built-in option for that, the features are per site and not per cookie. Perhaps there is an add-on that can do it.

If what you want is to be logged off of all websites then the browser is closed, follow the instructions I posted: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1304601#answer-1350147 and include login data.

This feature doesn't seem to work. Even if I select "Active logins", I'm not disconnected when I quit Firefox.

"Active Logins" refers to pop-up style authentication used by some older sites. It does not do anything to cookies.
