Running 2 older Macs w/ Thunderbird, periodically must switch active use and update Mail folders: MacBook Pro 5,3 | OS 10.11.6, Tbird 78.14 <--> Mac Mini 4,1 | OS 10.13.6, Tbird 102.15.1

a) Current method is to copy/paste Mail folder from one profile to the other... clumsy, but it works, but Q: Will this still work if "Supernova" v.115 is installed on the Mini?... IOW, are Mail files still compatible across different Tbird versions, or does the v.115 upgrade change them?

b) Is there a better way to sync seamlessly between different Tbird versions?

THANKS, from a crusty devotee!

If you mean the Mail subfolder of the profile folder, it contains POP account and Local Folders mail. A more common and more effective way to sync mail between different computers, including phones, tablets etc., is to set up mail accounts on each device as IMAP accounts.
