Firebug is saying it is compatible with Firefox 14. You can try to reinstall it from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/firebug and see if that helps. If it doesn't, try to reset Firefox, then reinstall Firebug. Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

thanks I will try them out now :)
My firefox auto-updated to v14 tonight and deleted all of my disabled plugins. I also have another plugin that is installed and working, yet not showing in my addins list. Just like the op, I also get a loading message when clicking 'get add-ons', but no content is loaded.
"... I also get a loading message when clicking 'get add-ons', but no content is loaded. "
Click on Extensions or Plugins to get rid of that loading message. "Get Addons" is trying to load information from the Addons website, which is running slow due to the large number of requests after the Firefox update yesterday.
It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
