Buttons on dialogue and prompt boxes are blank and nothing happens when I click on them.
Whenever a dialogue box or prompt box comes up, the all of the buttons or sometimes just the bottom two (OK and cancel) are blank and nothing happens when I click on them, with the exception of one website in which clicking the blank button that normally says "OK" takes me to a blank screen. This doesn't allow me to access certain websites or download anything when a dialogue box asks me to confirm. As a result, I also cannot start firefox in safe mode or refresh it.
Attached is an example. That is what came up when I tried to refresh firefox. Nothing happens when I click either of the buttons at the bottom.
EDIT: Attached the image.

Hmm. Could be a corrupt file was the cause, and it got replaced. As long as the problem is gone.

I would try to enable Firefox Sync (search how to do it) and once synced, i would try to install portable Firefox or normal firefox and enabling sync again to get history, saved passwords etc. Also backing up your firefox profile folder to not loose anything inc ase of reinstallation (just search where is FF profile folder).
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.

Mac's have an Options key. All others use the Shift key.
