This only happens when playing Zynga Poker on Facebook. Firefox is the browser.

I downloaded a fix that went into add-ons. It is supposed to allow you to watch video without flash - don't know if it helps in this situation. In any event Shockwave crashes repeatedly when playing. Don't recall the problem in IE. Any suggestions?

I'm not a complete dummy - but I'm no computer whiz, either. 'Simple to do' solutions are probably all I can handle unless the instructions are pretty 'step by step'. Thanks, Zeke

If you have problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions then check this:

  • see if there are updates for your graphics drivers

https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)

  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Thanks for the suggestions. Did all those things - still crashed. But only once in about 15 minutes, which was pretty good based on past experience. All my drivers are up to date. I disabled protected mode. I disabled hardware acceleration. Some of the other suggestions were either too advanced for me to feel comfortable trying them, or assumed a level of knowledge I lack. Thank you all the same.

Thanks. Past experience has taught me that the inconvenience of messing up my computer (which works beautifully, except for the listed problem) is FAR greater than the inconvenience of opening IE for the sole purpose of playing a game. No doubt one day Mozilla will come up with a simple fix. In the interim, I'm good. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Best Regards,
