Hello. In the past few weeks (and on other occasions in the past year), Firefox is not showing older posts in Facebook. The page only goes down to a certain point and then all the posts stop. The message on the page says "Show Older Posts", but when I click on that, it does nothing. I've used other browsers such as Chrome, Internet Explorer and Edge and I don't have that problem so it's definitely a Firefox glitch. Also, in some instances with Firefox, videos and photos don't load and I'm left with blank boxes. I have started using other browsers as a result even though Mozilla has been my favorite for many years. Please help me solve this problem so that I can stick with Mozilla Firefox and not have to resort to using other browsers that I don't like as much. Thank you.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and remove the cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Clear the cache:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove the cookies" from websites that cause problems.

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security -> "Use custom settings for history" -> Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Thank you both for your responses, PkShadow and Cor-el. Both your solutions worked temporarily, but the last one I tried that worked instantaneously was Cor-el's suggestion of using Shift while Reloading the page. If I can do this on the spot and have it work, it's the easiest solution. Thank you both so much for your help.
