Launching Firefox
After installing Apple Ventura, and trouble with User Accounts, Firefox won't open, giving me the error message about not finding or having a Profile.
I did all of the suggested fixes on the Help pages, renaming files with "OLD" etc., finally deleting the entire Firefox folder in Library/Application Support, and the program still won't launch and gives me the same message about not finding a "profile."
Please advise how I can eradicate every trace of Firefox on the computer and start over; the program should create a new profile and let me use the program, but it's refusing to do so.

You can create a new profile with Firefox closed.

Firefox uses two locations in the hidden "~/Library" location for the Firefox profile folder. One location in "~/Library/Application Support" for your personal data (e.g. bookmarks) and another location in "~/Library/Caches" for temporary files like the disk cache.
Primary location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/<profile>
Secondary location used for the disk cache and other temporary files (Local Directory on about:profiles).
- ~/Library/Caches/Firefox/Profiles/<profile>
Also check the read/write permissions and ownership of files and folders in both main/root and cache locations and possibly rename/remove the Firefox folder.
