Firefox Continuously Loads When First Opened

When I first open Firefox (after a restart or simply after closing the browser and opening it again), the pinned tabs and my regular home page tab continuously load. No matter how long I wait, the loading circle icon continues to spin, and no content will appear. When I attempt to open any other webpages, the same issue happens--the continuously loading circle.

I never receive an "Error loading webpages" message, "Not connected to the internet," or anything to that effect; the pages all stay blank with the loading circle no matter how long I leave it.

In order to get Firefox to load the pages, I typically have to open and close the browser anywhere from 2-4 times before the pages will load.

I do not have this issue in any other browser, and I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no change. Firefox is fully updated, and all extraneous plug-ins have been removed.

I managed to solve my own problem.

It was a plug-in error; I went to the plug-in checker (http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/), updated my plug-ins, and voila! problem solved.
