Sorry, if you don't have a backup of your places.sqlite file there is no way to restore you browsing history. And the same for retrieving your previous session, which is saved in the sessionstore.js file.
yes I understand , but the place.sqlite that is dated this date , it has no back up , how would I restore if there was and the one I have is 30 megs big , ok so I just copy all mentioned files , how would I restore them , I was thinking of resetting firefox , I don't think that will work from my observations, also I used wisecare , newer version , have you seen this problem before with any program that clears history , ccleaner I don't use anymore , but I did restore from wise care and no results someone mentioned this code in profile sudo chown -R yourusername.yourusername .mozilla/firefox
Thanks for the help , it is imparative to get it back please respond asap

Windows 7 has a feature where it captures shadow copies of some files when significant updates happen and makes these available on a file-by-file basis (you don't need to do a full system restore). I don't know whether Vista also had this feature, but you could take a look.
Exit Firefox, then right-click your sessionstore.js file, choose Properties, and look for a Previous Versions tab. Ditto for places.sqlite. Anything recent enough to be helpful?
Does Windows keep copies of sqlite files like places.sqlite?
Those copies are stored as part of a system restore point and usually only includes some whitelisted file types like .ini, .js, .html, .txt and not .sqlite files.
I do have Previous Versions for places.sqlite on at least one Windows 7 system. Not sure what is triggering the creation of restore points; this is in a networked environment.
