Both my tablet and phone are set up with android sync. My computer was wiped out, so I am trying to sync my browser to the devices but it asks for a recovery key. I cannot find this key anywhere on the devices, and my browser settings clearly won't know it as that is what I am trying to connect back in. Is this possible? Or do I have to generate a new key? I'd rather not lose all my settings /etc.

hello, if your mobile devices are still connected to the sync account, please try to pair the computer like this:

  1. on your android phone go into the system's settings app and into accounts & synchronisation (might be worded slightly different on different android devices), go to firefox sync & tap on pair a device.
  2. on your computer go to firefox > options > sync > set up firefox sync > i have an account which will show you a 3x4 character code that you'll have to enter into your android device in order to complete the process.
