I have had this problem for some time now, it takes about a minute to load a page and some times it comes up with a load of text before the page loads, it looks like the script for the page, I am running Linux Ubuntu 14.10 64 bit. I should like to point out that I have had Firefox a very long time and have never had any problems before.

Try enabling hardware acceleration. Menu>Preferences>Advanced>General and then check the box that says "Use hardware acceleration when available".

If that doesn't work, try starting Firefox in safe mode (Click menu then click the question mark at the bottom then click Restart with add ons disabled) Thats just in case one of your add ons is starting the problem

Have a great day!

Have tried this and its just the same, I should point out that other browsers work fine but I do like my Firefox.

Try to disable IPv6.

Check for other possible causes as well.

Have tried that but still no joy, I have however noticed another happening, for a short time it started to work okay and I noticed that when I clicked a link the link was greyed out to show that I had been there, but when its not working right ie slow then the links do not grey out.

So far no good, have tried all sugestions still the same, I also run Chromium browser, that works fine so it must be a Firefox problem, I have also reinstalled it hoping that would fix it.
