I have been totally unable to get Flash or HTML5 working properly in Firefox. I tried reinstalling Adobe but it would hang. So I removed it totally and tried to switch to HTML5 but somehow the videos on Youtube don't play with an add on that forces HTML5.

Is there any way for me to configure Firefox without Flash so I can watch Youtube and similar? Can someone walk me through this? I've tried uninstalling the browser with Revo and Ccleaner and removing and updating Flash, etc., but somehow I can never get Firefox to show videos properly yet it was all working fine five or six weeks ago.

When did you upgrade Firefox last? Did the problem start then?

I can't even watch the videos in your link about disabling protected mode. Neither for the Flash nor the HTML5 link. What is the best procedure for systematically reinstalling everything?

I updated to the latest Firefox just today but I also did an update a couple of weeks ago when problems began.

Thank you.
