thunderbird hangs on startup

hi, after the recent update of windows 10, thunderbird hangs on startup. I have tried fresh install (removing old profile etc.), disabling avast, firewall, etc. it starts with system integration screen, and nothing beyond that. I have also tried to start thunderbird in safe mode but no help.
