more options

Originally was on Firefox and had amassed several dozen favorites. Then moved Chrome and transferred them all to That browser. Now I want get those favorites back. I have followed all of the instructions meticulously, and apparently succeeded downloading all of the bookmarks from chrome, but I cannot find them on a Firefox. I am using Mac book Pro,OS Version 10.14.1.

Hi mlondon34, which method did you use to import your bookmarks from Chrome to Firefox? For example, using the "Import from another browser" method or the "Import an HTML file" method.

When importing bookmarks from Chrome, Firefox may not move the Chrome "Bookmarks Bar" content to the Firefox "Bookmarks Toolbar". Instead, the entire Bookmarks Bar folder may be in an Imported Bookmarks folder under the Bookmarks Menu.

The best place to reorganize bookmarks from one folder to another is the Library window. Either:

  • Command+Shift+b
  • (menu bar) Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks

Drag-and-drop and cut/paste should both work. You can drag folders from the right side to a folder listed on the left, but I think to paste, you need to display the contents of the destination folder on the right side before pasting.

Can you find and move the imported bookmarks where you want them?
