Does the message look correct in your Sent folder? Does the recipient view mail in html format or plain text? Are any of the graphics stored remotely, and possibly blocked by the recipient? Was the html composed in another app and copied into TB, or composed in TB?

No, the message doesn't display correctly in the Sent folder -- it doesn't include the inline graphic nor the HTML form.

I sent test messages to myself. They arrived in plain text, even though I am configured to use HTML.

The photo I am inserting is stored on my hard drive.

The HTML form is a PayPal Donate button created through the PayPal site. It uses the standard HTML form syntax.

I don't know if PayPal's html is 'standard', but if the button does anything besides launching a link, it probably won't work, as TB disables scripts by default, as a security measure. It might take a bit of effort to modify the PayPal code to make it compatible with TB, so I would suggest sending the message through the webmail interface of your account, as it might be more 'forgiving' as far as format. I suspect that PayPal designs their form to work with most webmail services, as that is by far the most popular type of email usage.

Well, that's not going to work, The Gmail webmail interface offers no way to insert HTML — just website URLs and email address links.

That leaves the question of why inserted inline graphics show up in the TB outgoing message windows but never arrive when sent.

Thanks for that link. I was unaware of those Chrome extensions. I installed the HTML Inserter for Gmail and it worked like a charm.

It makes me wonder of there is something similar for TB?

It's always been possible to add html code, either directly from Insert/HTML, or more easily with an add-on like ThunderHTMLedit, but it's more a matter of whether TB correctly transmits the inserted code. If it doesn't render properly in a draft, it probably is in conflict with TB's standards for html or scripting.

I too have this problem.

Users started to complain that when I would "Reply to all" the inlines images that were part of a long running email thread were stripped out by me. I have done some searching and can't find what setting to change to leave things alone.

I am using Thunderbird ( 68.11.0 (32-bit) ).

My email server is ( Microsoft Exchange ) so the purchased plugin to make that happen is ( Owl for Exchange 0.7.6 ).

If I go to ( Microsoft Outlook Web Access ) and reply to all for the same message, the inline images are preserved.
