Hi there, I am a new TB user having switched from yahoo mail to TB as TB seems being more comfortable to be used. However, synchronizing my mails takes a very long time and is repetitively done over all my folders and thus slowing down the performance of TB. Reading and managing my mails and folders directly via the yahoo mail web client is fast and instantaneous. What shall I do or change within TB to speed up the process ? Your recommendations are welcome.

How did you add the account to TB, POP or IMAP, and which settings, i.e. servers, security, authentication etc.? Repetitive syncing shouldn't occur unless the mail folders are severely corrupted. Do you have a security/AV app scanning the profile folder? Which one? If so, disable it or add the TB profile folder as an exclusion or exception.

My TB account is setup as IMAP using the standard settings TB has chosen automatically. I agree, repetitive sync should not occur but it does, the reason why I'm asking for help. As I have setup TB the first time on my new PC I cannot imagine my mail folders being are severly corrupt. Note, if using my original yahoo web mail client all is fine. AVIRA Antivirus PRO is running on my PC with the default parameters. Please help me to solve this issue and let me know more details for the next steps.

I would start by disabling Avira Mail Protection, leaving the real-time background scan in place.

TB toke ages to synchronize my mails/folders on my new pc despite a really fast internet connection. Avira Mail protection cannot be disabled even by forcing it as admin, rebooting, retrying .... Any other ideas or tips or ticks ?
