message filters not all working
I have several message filters created and most are working fine. However, there are few that refuse to work they are all created similar and simple. For example I created a folder for each filter. I selected match all the following. I chose FROM CONTAINS then the I enter the name shown on the from line and last I select move message to the folder I created. I have several message filters created for different folders and most work fine but there are few that are being very stubborn. I'm becoming very annoyed I can't understand since all my filters are created the same why a few will not work. Running firefox 68.1

If you enable the filter log in Tools/Message Filters, does it show any reason for the failure? Keep in mind that filters only run automatically on the Inbox, although they can be run manually on other folders.
Filter Log has been enable. Maybe it's corrupt but it only displays a few messages from about a year ago. I cleared the filter log and manually ran the filter message to move the message to the folder I assigned but the message didn't move and then I checked the filter log and it displays nothing. I'm beginning to think something is corrupt in Thunderbird
Do you have any other program, such as antivirus, scanning the profile folder, and possibly interfering with the filters? Are the filter actions moving mail from the Inbox to local folders or IMAP folders? Are these filters set up for spam/junk, and possibly being affected by TB junk controls or server-side spam filters?
I currently have 18 filters set to move messages to 18 different folders. 16 of the 18 work properly. They are all set in the same profile and format that is FROM CONTAIN MOVE. Yes I have antivirus software, but I would think any third party software such as antivirus would effect all filters not just a couple. Of the filters that work the messages are automatically moved to the appropriate folder when I select get messages. On the filters that don't work they don't move automatically or manually. As you mentioned earlier about the filter log I've tried several times to run manually with no results and the filter log doesn't mention anything about a failed attempt.
