I have had several versions of Thunderbird, and until now have always been able to add on the 'QuoteandComposeManager' published by Kaosmos (it is an .xpi file). However I have just moved to a new Windows 10 PC and have installed the latest version of Thunderbird (78.6.0). I was able to move all my files (thousands of emails), but when I tried to install the QuoteandComposeManager I was told that the .xpi file I downloaded from the Kaosmos website 'appears to be corrupt'.

I want to be able to pause the sending of emails for 10-20 seconds, which is usually enough time to catch errors or have second thoughts. It is terribly useful!

Is there any other extension that will allow me to do this and is compatible with TB 78?

Many thanks!

None of the Kaosmos add-ons are compatible with TB 78, although a few have been updated by other authors for 78. Unfortunately, QuoteandComposeManager is not one of them so far, and I'm not aware of any way to replicate the sending pause. You would have to save messages as drafts or place them in the Outbox with Send Later to allow for review before sending.
