When I am typing in a search request in google, the type disappears frequently and I cannot even correct it because the whole line disappears. I thought this was happening when I misspelled a word but it seems to happen in other situations also. This is very annoying.

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

Started Firefox in troubleshooting mode and the problem still persisted.

It is a problem of Google, which arises after pressing the down arrow. After that arrow buttons no longer apply to the text. To return text editing, enough to enter any character, for example, a space.

by Google he is referring to the address bar text field. You at type in a query but then the text dissappears and it displays the page address instead with a box also appearing on the left with a x button. I don't give a crap about the box but what you just spend time typing is gone and you have to retype it to start your search. It's annoying.
