Why doesn't Firefox remember my hotmail address, I check "save my email address" in hotmail, but I have to type it in everytime.

In tools, options, privacy, do you have 'always remember history' selected?

I don't see that exact verbage but I have "Remember search and Form History" checked. Under settings I have the following checked (see attached images). As long as I stay in Firefox it remembers my email address, but once I exit I have to type it in again.

  • Such details are stored in a cookie.
  • You need an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep that cookie, especially for secure websites and if you let cookies expire when Firefox closes

In the first of your screenshots, select 'Firefox will remember history' at the top. Then check for the issue.

Open your firefox browser & in the main search bar at the top type in hotmail.com & then sign in to your email account. Make sure to check the keep me signed in box. Once your signed in click the star to save to your bookmarks.
