Recently I have been barraged with "you have won contest....." where it will not let me close the pop ups. I use task manager to close the pop ups. Then when I try to re-start firefox it re-opens all of the pop ups. How do I turn this re-open all tabs feature off?

Use one of these:

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my home page" "Show a blank page"

Be sure that Firefox gets closed properly to prevent session restore from restoring the last session automatically.
