Is there a way in the new version to fix links that do not open in a new tab like they used to in the older version?

more options

I go to my yahoo mail and click a link in an e-mail. In the old version the link was automatically opened in a new tab -- which was awesome. Greatly convenient and gives peace of mind to organized people.

So I upgrade to 4, and now my email links load up in my email tab so I have to go back to it to read my other mail. This greatly annoys me and I know it'll happen with other links that use to do the same thing. I would prefer to have it set automatically so I don't have to right-click -> new tab every time.

Does anyone else have this problem or perhaps hopefully have a solution? I have the "Tab Mix Plus" add-on and have tried going through the options in it to fix this myself, but the only solution I can get is to force all my links to open in new tabs -- which is NOT what I want at all. (That option will seriously open page 2 of a google search in a new page. Yeah, no. That's annoying.)

Any helpful feedback would be appreciated.

You can middle-click the link with the scroll wheel or hold down Ctrl and left click the link to open a link in a new tab.

Thank you, I know shortcuts are always an option but I was hoping for a more... automatic? solution. I've resorted to forcing links to new tabs that are "to other sites." It has solved my immediate problem, but still is a bit screwy.

Thank you for the help, though. :]
