There is an ad that popped up but it is not allowing me to close it. When I try to shut down the program another window opens asking if I was to navigate away from the page. Even if I select "yes" nothing happens. What do I do to get rid of this?
the name at the top of the tab is "You are today's lucky winner" and all it says on the page is "Congratulations! You won an Apple iPad2. Read below for details". But it just WON'T go away!!!

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
