OK, glad to hear you're up and running again.

So, is firefox going to fix this problem?

It's not a problem though is it because I can play them on FF4. It would appear to be some peculiarity with you system setup which is causing the problem.

I've had a similar problem with flash videos posted on an internal server. Videos will play fine in IE or Safari, but in Firefox they will not play for a day or so and then just start working fine. Clearing cache or running in private mode doesn't make a difference. I've tried using different flash players also.

I wonder if it's something peculiar to the way Firefox caches flash videos? Or the way the adobe plugin for FF caches the videos?

What you need to do here is to right click the video and check to see if it's a Flash video or not. Not all of them are. I've just come across an issue with another user where the video was an MP4.

You can see that in this thread: https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/831054

This required registering the MP4 MIME type first of all to Quicktime and then configuring Firefox to open that file with the Quicktime player.

In the case of Yahoo, the file types appear to be all Flash though.

The files are all flv and run in an embedded flash player.

We've had the same complaint from a number of users...videos will work, then stop playing, and then work again after a day or so.

I can send you a link but I'd rather not post it on the forum.

@ nashbok, maybe you'd be better off posting your issue on the Adobe support forums. They're likely to have a better understanding of what the cause might be. You can find the Adobe Flash forum here: http://forums.adobe.com/community/webplayers/flash_player

Ok, I'll give that a try.

Thanks.
