Just installed Firefox 5, and some features of AVG and RealPlayer were indicated as not compatible. Will this result in problems, and when will they be resolved?

I can't remember which exact feature of AVG is incompatible. But I don't want any of it to be unusable with Firefox 5. Also, I want full functionality of RealPlayer.

Are you going to resolve these incompatibilities?

Thank you.

AVG Safe Search is incompatible with FF5 but AVG are working on the problem and it should be sorted shortly. It is upto RealPlayer to update to FF5

I can't get the realplayer downloader to work with Firefox 5.0. I even tried deactivating the extension compatibility checking and it still does not work.

I have contacted RealNetworks and awaiting response.

Thank you! Can you please update us when you hear back from the RealPlayer people?

ok, will do ;-)

Google Chrome supports "Real Player" as does Firefox 4. You could migrate to one of those browsers until Mozilla resolves their incompatibility issues. I mean... Isn't software supposed to be backward compatible?

Yes, it is! I will try it with Google Chrome. But I certainly don't want to go back from Firefox 5 to Firefox 4. Mozilla surely understands this. Thanks for the info!

Thank you for the update! Also, everyone should know that the new update also fixes some security issues with RealPlayer (useful even if you use it with other browsers).
