Adblock Plus may be blocking too much
Style formatting (.css), Script (.js) files at a site among others may be blocked on purpose or inadvertently by Adblock Plus filters.
You can see what is blocked, and the filters used, as well as being able to enable/disable Adblock Plus in its options, which can also be reached by right-clicking on the ADP toolbar button.
- Open Blockable items [Ctrl+Shift+V] Searchable has columns Address/Filter/Type/State/...
- Preferences... [Ctrl+Shift+F] Filter rules / subscriptions / Options
Suggest sorting Blockable items on State (toggles filter on/off). Right-click on a row brings up additional information about a filter.
I have had this same problem since 2 days ago. Some pages just don't load normally. Some of these use flash elements so I have assumed it to be problem. However this is what I have already tried: - Updating flash - updating firefox - uninstall and reinstall of flash - registery sweep with CCleaner - Booting ADSL router - removing all my plugins - updating gfx driver
Next step is to unistal and reinstall firefox (damm....)
Most answers to similliar problems mention adblock as reason but since I don't use it, I doubt it's reason behind this problem. Also flash may be innocent since some heavily flash sites work fine. Besides there's also notice when I try to access some sites that "File cannot found" and I know the sites are running fine with other browsers.
I disabled adblock plus and that didn't help.
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

---
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

I cleared the network cache and removed the site cookies and it's working again for at least one of the sites i was having problems with. thanks.
You're welcome
