I Cant set my home page www.alantower.net as default browser window. IT says this site does not provide identity info.

The only page from a previous incarnation of my site that will load when I open a new Firfox window is http://alantower.net/index2.html This is a dead page now.

I paste in www.alantower.net/ then the new page comes up fine just not able to have it configured as my Firefox main page window. Hope you can help!

How are you setting the site to be your home page, and what is happening after you try to set it?

This article should help with making it your home page: How to set the home page | How to | Firefox Help.

However, if it changes back, that sometimes indicates a problem with your settings files, or an aggressive add-on.

Jscher: thanks a lot for the help. Where I get stuck I guess is here:

drag it to the Home button and then let go.

I see the icon they mean but I dont know what this sentence refers to. The Home Button. I know where my website home button is but what are they refering too?

Thanks, AT

The home button is the button with an image of a house that usually appears toward the left end of the navigation (address) bar. If you don't have that button, you still can use the method involving the Preferences dialog.
