I did a new first time Firefox install. It auto imported my favorites/bookmarks from IE9, but none of my cookies or cookie settings. I went to History, Import data from another browser, but that option is in grayscale, not black, so wont let me do it. So how do I import my cookies and my block/accept cookie settings?

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Tools > Options > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Tools > Options > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history

  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use private browsing mode"
