How can I see the full target URL when I hover over a link? Not an abbreviated URL.
How can I see the full target URL when I hover over a link? I do not want to see abbreviated URLs. Is there a way to customize this?
Full target URLs enable me to easily see how visitors reached my website via Google, Bing, Yahoo searches, etc. With the abbreviated URLs I can't see what they entered into the search field.

Sorry I am not sure i understand exactly what has changed.
There is a pref that may be changed to include the prefix in the location bar:
- trimurls see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Firefox_:_FAQs_:_About:config_Entries
- there is a related thread mentioning an extension /questions/882940
I am using the Aurora channel & Firefox 10.0.a2 at the moment, and my status bar, or whatever it is now called, where links display seems to show full links, despite my not having changed the above mentioned pref. My location bar does show the modified links, with the domain highlighted, then the remainder of the link; or if https, the full link. If your problem is on the location bar do you merely need to expand that and shorten the search-bar ?
Since upgrading Firefox this week, when I hover over a link, I now see only an abbreviated target URL that is shortened by (...) in the middle. Unfortunately for me, in most cases the search data that people enter into Google/Bing/Yahoo/etc. to reach my site is hidden within that (...).
In the past, full target URLs would pop up across the width of the browser when I'd hover over a link. Now it appears that the bar (not sure what the bar is called) has been shortened to only half the width of the browser, and the URLs are abbreviated to fit.
