After constant prompting I finally hit the Update Now option and downloaded FF 9.03 (??) Download looked good. Ran the update EXE file from the Downloads folder. Everything looked good so I let it run. Came back, opened FF..no connection. Opened Linksys connection... can't find any nertworks, can't find any adapters. The computer I am using for this is working of the connection, updated computer still can't find the network.

Firefox's update system does not download an EXE file to your Downloads folder for you to run. The button is called "Apply Update", and when you press it, the update process begins, and all you have to next is restart Firefox.
For more info, see Update Firefox to the latest release.
Are you sure that EXE file is a Firefox update? Maybe you were tricked by some malicious software?

In most cases, if you cannot connect after updating, it is because your firewall has recognized the new version. For instructions, see Fix problems connecting to websites after updating Firefox

Interesting...I have a FF Setup 9.0.exe file in my Downloads and this is what I used for the update.

I reinstalled Linksys driver and devices and I initially though the problem was solved. I soon found that while I have a good wireless signal I can't make the connection stick.
