Hi Sourjobraato Banerjee, First, I noticed that you were answering alot of questions in the forum, for that thank you! First for the updates issue, check to make sure the antivirus is configured to download updates to Firefox (I noticed you had avast! installed)
The crash signatures that had links in your question are what I looked at first. Currently there is no bug associated with the signature, but it is a top crasher in version 32. So hear is what we can do: There are two resources I use while troubleshooting crashes:
- irc #crashkill
- trying it in safe mode to make sure that it is not caused by an add on.
- Gathering a stacktrace for crashes: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/d.../How_to_get_a_stacktrace_for_a_bug_report
- Test Cases and Regression windows: MDN workflow for triaging crashes
Regression window looks like its 31-32 for the heap signature. However I do not know when it started. regression testing
Does it update from the about:firefox page from the help window, and if there are more signatures please submit the other crashes for further investigation. Looking forward to troubleshooting with you!
