Hello on my new laptop i do not run anything Mozilla related as i far prefer other browsers(namely Chrome). But i keep getting plugincontainer.exe or .bak. or .upd names trying to access the net. Every answer i find if i do a search refers to dealing with firefox or similar mozilla product and i have searched everywhere and there isn't any on my pc. When i open the location of plugincontainer it goes to ProgramData to a file folder that contains plugincontainer file folder which contains nothing, Plugins folder which contains 4 file folders that contain various plugin applications

I want rid of plugin container.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

hello sakara, plugin-container.exe (with a hyphen!) is a file that is shipped with mozilla firefox. you can also inspect the file with a right-click > properties > signatures. if it is signed by the mozilla corporation it will be genuine. otherwise it is probably malware masquerading under a inconspicuous filename. in this case refer to Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware

Thankyou for the reply. Ive run one of the programmes recommended and it did pick them up as malware. i'll see how it goes.
