Sorry can you say what you have seen either a screenshot or link to the advice.

Security software has been known to temporarily flag Firefox updates as unsafe, possibly just because they are new and the security database is not updated. Please make sure the security software is up to date and has its database updated

Hi John it came up as a message on opening Firefox. My Macafee is compketely up to date - I've just checked it. The words of the message are as above

Thanks, that makes the situation clearer. That is not warning you about Firefox it is warning you of a site you are using.

That sort of problem may come about because of malware on your computer that is affecting Firefox and may potentially also affect other browsers.

Firefox by the way has its own basic malware and phishing protection built in and turned on by default.
