I have successfully imported address files to the Address Book, but the contacts sidebar doesn't show them. In the sidebar 'all address books' when clicked shows the computer address D:/contacts/*.csv. No actual filenames or email addresses are shown. The imported address files are from that folder but they are LDIF files and they are displayed correctly in Address Book.

There doesn't seem to be any way to clear what is in the sidebar or make it see the files that are in the Address Book.

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

The answer wasn't relevant to my problem.

I eventually solved the problem: Uninstalling and re-installing didn't solve it. So I uninstalled again and deleted the Profiles files and folders before re-installing - problem solved!

have you opened the address book and actually looked at when you imported? MY guess success was not what you had and you have imported things like file paths into the name part of the contact record and the name is in the address etc.
