High cpu use when composing message to many recipients (TB60beta) crash @ AsyncShutdownTimeout | profile-before-change | Sqlite.jsm shutdown blocker
Hi
This is kind of a continuation of https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1222376 (Crash choosing mailing list recipient composing message), in the sense that Thunderbird 52.8.0 (64-bit) crashed (with 100% CPU use) when I tried to compose a message to a mailing list. In order to solve it, I was advised to switch to TB 60.0b10 (64-bit), which solved the immediate problem.
Now, when I respond to a message that was send to 46 people, TB starts using about 70-80% of the CPU. It continues after the message was sent. This high CPU use continues even after (trying to) close TB. Then after about 30 sec. I get a message that TB has crashed.

1. What is the new crash ID? 2. Does this reproduce in safe mode?
I just reproduced the problem in TB 52.9.1 (64-bit): Crash report ID: bp-215cfb92-96f7-45f8-90c1-1c07c0180824 But opening TB in safe-mode seems to solve the problem!

OK. I tried disabling the add-on 'messaging menu'. That didn't help. And no - I don't have time to disable different sets of add-ons to discover which causes the problem. I am sorry!
I am starting to wonder just how different the version of Thunderbird that is released on Ubuntu is to that available from the Thunderbird.net web site. Their copy does not appear to have lightning bundled for instance.
